The Murrays
Hi Everyone! Welcome to our Blog! We got this idea from some friends of our friends who also have a baby. Instead of emailing ya'll unsolicited pictures of Reagan you can just go to this site and view them at your leisure... or not. And even though our friends dissed Fashion Island and some of Reggie's favorite stores in their blog (we'll forgive you) we still think its a great idea!

I like crawing
Okay, so maybe Daddy was exaggerating a little here. She's not exactly crawling yet. But she does get up on all fours and rock back and forth, then does a face plant onto the floor. She does manage to move backwards by pushing her chest up with her arms and sliding herself back. I don't think this is what she intends, though, because then she starts to cry. I can't leave her alone on the bed for a minute anymore, because when I come back she's managed to slide herself off the side of the bed and is hanging onto the duvet for dear life. She is very close to crawling, sometimes she'll get that one knee forward, and we think, "oh, this is it, here she goes!" and then face plant! Ooh, so close!
Reggie's New Ride
New stroller
My new Maclaren Quest Stroller with the special edition fabric from renowned British handbag designer Lulu Guinness is here! I had seen this stroller in the Neiman Marcus Christmas catalog when I was pregnant with Reggie and loved it! It had a matching diaper bag that went with it, which is now sadly unavailable. I really didn't think I was going to need another stroller. I thought I'd just be like those granola Moms and carry Reggie around in a very fashionable sling. Then Reggie hit 20 lbs and carrying her in the sling for anything longer than a quick trip into Mother's Market (where the granola moms seem to gather) meant a two day backache. I finally decided to break down and get a lightweight one after a trip to the mall with Mom and my SUV of a stroller. I couldn't fit into the J. Crew fitting room, or any fitting room for that matter, or through the aisles of any boutique store, or into any restroom stall (even the handicapped ones). That meant using those Starbuck's cards was out of the question. This little stroller weighs only 9lbs and is the sports car of strollers (which like a sports car, means no cup holders). But it does fit into tight spaces, like the children's department at Neimans! I'll just have to check Ebay for that matching diaper bag!

Feed us!!
Reagan is now eating solid food. We started with carrots, moved on to sweet potatoes, peas and then bananas. Strangely enough, the only thing she wasn't crazy about were the bananas. They also had a rather undesirable effect and we had to start pureed prunes sooner rather than later. The good news is the prunes are working. The bad news is... the prunes are working. I'm now rather nostalgic for the bananas.

This flying thing is no big deal
Last month we took our first vacation with Reagan. We packed up her toys, carseat, diapers, and baby sunblock and flew to the beautiful island of Maui. We weren't too sure how our almost 6 month old was going to do on a 5 1/2 hour flight so we took the brilliant suggestion of one of our friends. We flew armed with Starbuck's gift cards to give to the passengers around us in case Reggie decided she didn't like flying. I'm not sure if it was Diane or Jessica who came up with this idea, but thanks to one of you! Even though we didn't need them, knowing we had them just in case made the flight a little less stressful. Would anyone like to have coffee with me?
Well protected in Maui
Here we are at the Westin Villas in Kaanapali. We have Reggie well protected from the sun in her SPF 60+ suit and hat (apparently invented by the Australians because they now all have skin cancer). Too bad we never actually got to go out into the sun. It was so windy at the resort that we couldn't go to the beach without getting sand blasted. We tried the pool but the ties that hold the sides of the cabana kept coming loose and flapping open. Our stroller blew away and almost hit some unsuspecting sunbather. Thank goodness Reggie was not in the stroller at the time.
